Johnnie
Johnnie
is a very large Belgium gelding, who was adopted by us from Springhill
Horse Rescue last year. Johnnie had been sent to auction after
serving his life as a pulling horse. Due to the fact that he is
in his mid twenties, and had severe founder he was most likely
slaughter bound. He has gained about 500lbs and his feet are now
well cared for and he is comfortable on them once again. He now
has a loving home to live out his golden years.
In
Memorium: Sadly Johnnie had to be humanely put down in June 2005
due to a recurrence of Laminitis. We feel very lucky to have been
able to provide a safe and loving home to this gentle soul for
his last year. He truly touched our heart in that short time.
